Barbara. I am amazed that you were curious enough to read the vicious books out about the Clintons , especially Hillary. I think that helped you to understand why they were so hated. I cannot bring myself to read that , rather I read Hillary’s great autobio “Hard Choices” and clearly she is the hardest working, most knowledgable, fair minded person in public office (other than President Obama). That said here is what the hate is about: 1. she is a woman and the old boys are not letting one of them get power. 2. She is a liberal (McConnell will do all he can to destroy that — see Obama who was a mere moderate/ left). 3. He husband was a jerk when it came to women — a brilliant politicial but a moral idiot. She is the colleratal damage. 4. She stayed wiith him (some think a badge of courage, some think a marrage of power and convience. Either way, she is no Michelle Obama. 5. She did not know how to deal with Trump. She needed to put him in his place — instead she just assumed that the blowhard would be viewed as a complete a-hole — which he is; however, that played into his hand and to his voters who were tired of the ‘conentional politician.” Need I go on? If she were president it would have been another battle to the death with the lines being drawn out and hatred rising for her. As it is, Nancy Pelosi has had to take the gauntlet and she has put Trump in his place. She is the model for how to handle a a-hole.
