I argree with you on all that you have nicely written here. And I than k you for your contribution. Here is what I must say--I am optimistic and I am not cynical about the American people etc. My concerns are the election deniers and Trump followers running for offices in both Congress and the statehouses (especilly Sec. of State). If the MAGA folks try to overturn elections --then democracy is really in jeopardy. I think we won't know the answer to that until the mid-terms are over.

My other concern lies with the R's that are running for reelection for Senate and Congress--if they have been constant election deniers (134 in Congress) they should NOT be reelected. Their positions are counter to the rule of law--an oath they took that they are disavowing--in my opinion.
