JD - I can’t believe I didn’t see this earlier because I would have acknowledged your view. I very much agree with 90% of it. I wouldn’t generalize all conservatives as unwilling to learn or blinded by ignorance.
What I do see is a lack of curiosity and effort on the part of folks who say they hate ‘woke’ when they have no idea what that means and won’t find out. I hear conservatives say that they paid for their kids to go to college and now they are angry that Biden wants to forgive federal loans. They. Forget that what they paid was a fraction of the cost in the last 10 years ( or they are not curious). They don’t realize that a condition of forgiveness is working as a teacher , etc .
