Lauren , you cite nursing homes and rent as issues that make Cuomo ‘mediocre’ – despite admitting he took positive action. Your point was it isn’t enough. Politics is about doing the BEST you can and knowing that that action will be completely derailed if one pushes further. This is the Bernie Sanders logic- which is why he has good ideas that never get anywhere in legislative sense. So that was Obama’s dilemma with ACA , which I think you derided because he comprised. Had he not, mothing would be done. If Cuomo tried to legislate that rent be excuse permanently, it would be breaking a social contract that could be chaos for NY. As the song goes, you can’t always get what you want but if you try sometimes … you get what you need.”
