Maria--thank you for your thoughtful response! It was a breath of fresh air. Some men have written that they ( boys) are being emasculated. It is hard to respond to them because they are just whining, weak, or acting like they are unabe to understand that equal is better than subordinate.

Your optimism on young people is encouraging. I felt in researching this essay that that was not how the journalists following the Trump story felt THe polls suggest that millions and millions who feel loyality to Trump are not seeing what you and I see.
