Member-only story
Now the story of a self-published fiction writer who answers questions others skip…and why.

I taught English for 32 years. I loved teaching. I was born to teach. Teachers are givers; however, I was on the receiving end when I became the San Diego County “Teacher of the Year-1999.” I have former students create a Facebook page entitled :”Mr. Pacilio Made a Difference in My Life.” I tell you this because for two reasons 1. street cred and 2. I always made enough profits to cover my investment, making a profit of several thousand dollars per novel. So this is not a ‘get rich road path,’ but I wrote my truth and that mattered to me. So if that’s what you want here is my ‘road less traveled.”
During my last year of teaching, an alumni told me to write a book. I had been, in his words, “playing small cafes for decades.” People thought I’d write a how-to-be-a-English-teacher book…
