However, the point about journalism is really the crux of the issue— that and money and power. The fossil fuels industry is the primary cause of global warming. The influence they have on policymakers is so strong as the number of American Republican politicians still believe global warming is a hoax. Last evening’s Republican debate showed each of them bought this as does Trump.
So if the media presents the truth, then it becomes political. Global warming is not a ‘both sides’ issue. There is one truth. One cause ( that trumps all) and Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth “ makes that clear.
