I am one of the lucky ones, I suppose. At 21 I was a teacher. If Springsteen was born to run , I was born to teach. 32 years later and the coveted honors of San Diego County’s Teacher of the Year and feature in numerous magazines and newspapers over the years , I retired with a Golden Handshake ( and the wise words of my wife who saw how much being a teacher took out of me at 55). I transitioned to writing ( and various speaking gigs) and have self published four novels. I was an adjunct professor for 20 years as I taught teachers how to teach …and why they should endeavor to take that rewarding but difficult path. I’m very impressed with your efforts as a leader and a person who gives solid advice. I know your writing is non- fiction. My newest novel is about racism and the jury system with a protagonist who was a teacher.
I’d like to go mainstream with this one. It is very difficult to break through with the agent/publisher world. So any advice? Thanks. Bob
